Our Child Health Partners

Woodmark Group

The Woodmark Group is a not-for-profit organization whose 27 members are prominent children’s hospitals in the United States and Canada. The Woodmark Group was created so foundations across the US and Canada could work together to discover, share and implement best practices in fundraising to ensure donors’ gifts are used effectively and efficiently – ultimately, to improve the health of children everywhere through philanthropy. Recognition of the Alberta Children’s Hospital and the Foundation to be among the most prominent in North America is truly an honour and reflects our community’s commitment to healthy children.

Alberta Health Services

Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than 3.7 million adults and children living in Alberta. Its mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans.

Rotary Flames House

Calgary is the first city in Alberta to open a hospice and respite care centre for children. Rotary Flames House is located right next door to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Rotary Flames House serves hundreds of families whose children face progressive or life-threatening illness. Its construction was made possible by many kindhearted donors, including the Flames Foundation for Life, Rotary Clubs of Calgary and the Alberta Lottery Fund.

University of Calgary

The University of Calgary is a leading Canadian university located in the nation’s most enterprising city.  The university has a clear strategic direction – “Eyes High” – to become one of Canada’s top five research universities by 2016, grounded in innovative learning and teaching and fully integrated with the community of Calgary.

Children’s Miracle Network

Children’s Miracle Network® raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals, 14 of which are in Canada. These hospitals, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given, it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids. Established in 1983, Children’s Miracle Network® raises funds to support critical research, education, purchase life-saving equipment, and ensure excellence in care, all in support of our mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
